Humble and delicate
little bell of white,
you are beginning to bloom
and it is with delight
I welcome you
to this sunny day,
a treat for sure
as winter’s cold eases
your flowering bulb pleases
all who pass by
in the wilderness garden,
oh, there you are
I beg your pardon!
You are so quiet and
somewhat shy
and don’t call out to
passers-by.
What I see
when I look at you
is a purity,
dressed in a gentle way,
a joy to see you there
today.
I don’t know where this
message sits,
it seems unusual as I write
and I have no idea
what’s coming next,
just like life
I guess, I guess.
Just accept each day
a gift
and if it rains,
so be it!
If it’s mild, warm and
bright
yes, let’s show gratitude
and true delight.
Every moment is,
as every moment is,
and welcome life in every
second
it’s here for us
as the Snowbell beckoned
me across to say 'Gidday',
let’s walk the path
in a celebratory way.
